What is the best from Beijing airport to Chengde?

Hi,

We are arriving in Beijing international airport at 4 PM on April 24 and would like to go to Chengde the same day ? Could you recommend the budget way to get there and how long should we stay ?

you can take Beijing capital airport express to sanyuanqiao within 30 minutes, and then take a direct bus to Chengde from Sanyuanqiao for about 2.5 hours.

Hi David,
Thank you very much for the information. When is the last bus from Sanyuanqiao to Chengde, and how often it runs ? Would we be able to get tickets at station when we arrive ? Is there train / bus from Chengde to either Datong or Mutianyu great wall ? How long would it take and how often it runs ?
