i am getting a z visashould travel to china on april, then get my residence permit

I am getting a Z Visa and should travel to China on April, then get my residence permit when I arrive. My family (wife and kids) will be traveling only on July and will stay also in China with me. Which kind of Visa should I apply for them? Is there any problem with this delay between my trip and their trips?Appreciate any help you could provide.
