About:Tourism Festivals in China

How are the stores, restaurants and tourist attractions affected by National Day? I hear it is a lovely, and lively celebration which will be fun to be in and around but will we be able to shop, etc? I would think that the shop owners and employees should get the day off with the rest of the country.

Those will not be affected by National Day. Not like the Chinese New Year, stores and restaurants still open as usual. Tourist attractions are open all year round only except for occassional renovations ,etc. It will be crowded in tourist attractions during the National Day holidays.
