About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi I am traveling to Shanghai with a return ticket to the UK from Shanghai pre-booked, but during my stay I will visit Vietnam. I have only been granted a single entry visa for China, and have a 21 hour stop at Pudong airport before my return flight to the UK.
My question is, do I need a visa to be able to stay at one of the Hotels at the airport, or am I not allowed to leave the airport, if not where can I stay as I understand the hourly hotel in the main terminal is closed? I hold a UK passport.

Hi, you can go outside the airport to visit Shanghai City without a visa in 48 hours. Thus, you have no need to worry about it.
