About:China Visa Application in USA

I am a Filipino Citizen but a resident of US. I want to visit my sister in Shanghai, My philippine passport is still valid but it is under my maiden name since I got married here in US. I don't have time yet to have it change. And the Philippine embassy told me that i could still travel with it as long as i have marriage cert. with me. Now, My GC is under my married name. Is it possible for me to show my marriage certificate in order to show proof of my identity, when I apply for a chinese visa coz I saw that they will require you to show proof of being a resident in US. Will it matter at all? I know on visa the name that they will follow is the one on the passport itself.

Yes, you can show your marriage certificate to prove your identity when you apply for a Chinese visa. You'd better also provide the passport of your husband.
