About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

I am a United States Citizen living in Surrey BC with permanent residence status. I am going to Hong Kong and then into China (day trips only) with my husband who will be doing business there. I will be with him the entire time I am in China. I have had a single entry VISA before and need to get another for this trip. Do I get a tourist VISA or a business VISA? Can I get it for a longer period of time since we may have to return to HK and China at a later date? Where can I get the application and may I take it to the Chinese Consulate in Vancouver?
Thank you.

You need to get a tourist visa to China. You can apply for a double entry or multiple entry visa if you want to return to China at a later date, nationals of United States are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days, you don't need a visa to HongKong. You can download the application forms from this form and take it and other documents (your passport, one passport photo, flight tickets) to the Chinese consulate in Vancouver.
