About:China Visa Application in USA

I have an invitation letter of duly authorized unit for a business visa, but the date of first entry shown is later than I plan to enter. Is this going to be a problem? Do I need to get a new letter with an earlier date?

It is not a problem, you can use the invitation letter to apply for F visa, once you get the F visa, you can enter China, the immigration officer won't check the entry date on the invitation letter of duly authorized unit.
