About:China Visa Exemption

I work in South Korea and have a Korean Alien Card and a UK passport. If I want to visit shanghai for less than 48 hours, do I need to obtain a visa? I was in China recently for a couple of weeks and really liked it and I would like to be able to go to Shanghai for weekends but the visa costs almost as much as the flights!

Yes, you need to obtain a visa to Shanghai because it is not considered as less than 48 hours transit of international flights, it is regarded as one entry to Shanghai, China, the fee for single-entry visa is 35,000 wons for Uk applicants, the service fee for a travel agency is 20,000 wons at most, the fee is 55,000 wons at most.
