My wife and I plus two other friends would like to travel by BULLET TRAIN from Beijing to Shanghai. Can you please tell me whether such service is available to travel . We will be in Beijing around end of April 2011. Please let us know whether it is possible to start the journey in the morning and arrive at Shanghai in the evening.Please tell us which station to catch the train in Beijing and also which hotel is convenient and close to the station in Beijing. Thank you . Appreciate your early reply so that we can plan our trip

Yes, you can find bullet train from Beijing South railway station to Shanghai. There is such train running from early morning and arrive at Shanghai in the evening since the bullet train operates from 07:47 to 21:46.
You may consider about Qitaihe Hotel Beijing which is about 1km away from Beijing south railway station.
