I will be travelling to Guangzhou in mid Feb and going to be there for 8 Days. I would like to know what things I can do in Guangzhou. I am also planning to take a sidetrip to HongKong. Could you please suggest a good itinerary or places I can visit in Guangzhou and in Hong Kong? Also, can you tell me how is the weather in Guangzhou and Hong Kong for the second part of Feb?

You can visit tourist attractions like Yuexiu Park, The Pearl River, Chimelong Resort, White Cloud Mountain, and do some shopping in Guangzhou.
