About:Shopping in Guangzhou

Hi i will be going to guang zhou with my husband. I have hear many stories about robbery and stealing without you knowing like cutting your bag with knife. Is it safe to walk on busy street (like beijing lu and shangxiaju lu) with a camera hanging on my neck?

also, I look asian but my husband is american. will we attract alot of attention? is it ok to hold hands in public?

Guangzhou is as safe as most other cities now. Many years ago it was considered a bit dangerous and there was more stealing than now. But now it's just like anywhere else. There are certain areas where you need to be careful, like around the train station (as everywhere in the world). Don't worry to much, just use common sense and enjoy your time.

It is fine to hold hands in public, that is very common here. Your husband will attract attention from some sellers who will call "come look" ... just ignore them and walk away.

Hi, There are no robbery and no more stealing monney here n gangzou.
You May not catch alot of attraction if you are dressing normal,
