About:

Hi, i'll be staying in the Putuo district in March 2011. My hotel is right next to Shanghai West Railway station but I can't seem to find any recent information on whether the station has reopened. If it's not open it makes the hotel location rather less appealing! Any recent information would be greatly appreciated.

Shanghai West Railway Station, formerly known as Zhenru Railway Station, is the smallest of the four train stations in Shanghai. Located at No. 1 of Taopu Road in Putuo District, there are several pairs of trains serving routes between Shanghai and other cities such as Yantai, Zaozhuang, Hengyang, Ganzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Ningbo.
