About:Top 10 Useful Shanghai Travel Tips

Hi,

My questions - 1) where is a good place to stay in Shanghai seeing as we aren't there very long? and also where is convenient to get to the Port the next day?? 2) Is Baoshan nr Pu Dong I'national ? and 3) what do you recommend that we MUST see in our limited time in Shanghai?? We have a 17yr old daughter & my husband & myself. 5) Approx time & cost of transport from Airport to hotel? & then to Port? thankyou we appreciate your trouble in helping us.

1. Since subway line 3 travels to Baoshan District which can carry you easily to get to the port, you can find a hotel near to subway 3 metro station, such as shanghai train station area. You may try Shanghai Yafan Longmen Hotel at 777, Hengfeng Road, Zhabei District,Shanghai.
2. Baoshan is not close to PUDONG AIRPORT.
3. You should not miss Nanjing road, the Bund and Shanghai Xin Tian Di.
4. You can take the airport shuttle bus line 5 to Shanghai Railway station and then walk to the hotel. It takes about 80 minutes and costs CNY22.

Thankyou David for your assistance. Appreciate that very much.
We look like we might be booking the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, looked like it was pretty central, & read there was markets close by etc. Thought it might be easy to get from there to the Port the following day too. Don't know what the Bund is, but everyone mentions it, so will have to find out. At 4.50pm on a Friday afternoon, is it hard to get from Pudong Airport?? Thanks

The bund is a worth visiting attraction in Shanghai. You can take subway line 2 from the airport and get off at East Nanjing Road, then you could easily walk to the Bund.
