About:Visa Policy of China

I have one year work visa (Z) Now i come to china about 4 days so pls advise me that is it need to register in police station or not?My visa will expire on 24/Mar/2011 so can apply for renew it now,because i want to go back to home.

Work visa holders need to change your work visa into a residence permit within 30 days after entry at local PSB where you work.
