About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hello. I am currently living and teaching in South Korea. My husband and I are planning on traveling to China March 26-April 13. I have two issues. One, I noticed on the website that they have changed a rule that if you're not a Korean citizen, you must have at least 6 months validity left on your Korean ID card. Ours expires next month and we are leaving. Also, I have purchased various plane tickets around China, however the exit that we will make from China will be done overland from Chengdu to Nepal. Will they still grant me a visa?

I guess they won't grant you a visa because your Korean ID card will expire next year and you don't have flight ticket to exit China, how can you prove that you will exit China on time?
