About:Mount Huashan

is it best to stay in a hotel in Xian and travel to Mt Hushan in the early morning, or are there decent hotels at the base of Mt. Hushan? i want to maximize the climbing time at Mt Hushan. Also what is the fastest way (don't care about cost), how long does it take by train to get from Xian to Mt. Hushan? i want to spend a night on top of Mt Hushan, i heard you can do this, which peak is the hotel at? I will be there 1/22 and 1/23 (in a few weeks), is it too cold to enjoy the climb? what should i wear? what is the exact route from Xian to Mt Hushan (where is the train station, which train do i board, how do i get tickets, etc.) Thanks for your help here!!

It is a bit too cold to climb the mountain in Jan. You can bullet train from Xian to Huashan North in early morning. There is one train ar 6:55am and another at 8:30am. The next bullet train would be 10:50am. It is up to your choice. It takes 40 minutes to arrive in Huashan North. Get out train station there are green shuttle bus to the mountain. Stay one night in the north peak. Wear three layers of trousers, need to wear warm clothes too, down coat may be not convenient when you climb. Anyway, experience the weather when you are in Xian and decide what to wear. The train ticket can be bought when you arrive in Xian. It is easy to get in the train station and ticket offices.
