About:Chinese New Year

Hi there, I will be travelling with a family of 11 to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing & Wuxi from 29 Jan to 06 Feb. I would like to enquire if there's strong/chilly wind? rain? during this CNY period
Besides that where can I buy reasonable priced and good down jackets, sweaters and long johns? Is it that Shanghai and the nearby province products are priced more expensive than other cities like Beijing and Guangzhou?

Yes, it will be cold in all of the places you will visit, but it won't rain, I think. For shopping, you may go to the big shopping malls or branded stores in any of the city, since there maybe promotion during the Chinese New Year.
