can i do a short trip to beijing city center without transit visa?

Hi,I read several posts regarding transit visa here but I'm still confused about visa regulation. I'm Slovenian citizen arriving to Beijing airport 7 AM and leaving 3 PM. So I have 8 hours of free time and would like to know if I can do a short trip to the city center without visa?Thank you very much for your answer.

If you want to go outside the airport for a short trip tp the city, you need to apply a China Transit Visa(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/transit.htm) or China Tourist Visa(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/tourist.htm) in advance in your country.
