Your first problem I don't think would be a real problem for you cause most of dining room in universities have muslim food to offer muslim students. A lot of Chinese people are muslim, hence, it is not difficult to find some muslim restaurants around the uni. Secondly, Changchun is very cold in winter time,around -25C to -17C,but you would not feel really hard to spend your winter time. Just enjoy the winter and skiing is really fun. Thirdly, it is very cheap to take bus and taxi in Changchun, it may be a little bit expensive on fashion cloths.All the expenses should be depended on you.
