About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

I understand that when using an Octopus card for a bus ride one waves the card in front of the reader when getting on board. But when getting off at the destination do you have to wave the card again on the reader as you get off, just like in the MTR? No one specifically addresses that point in any website I've tried to find the answer. Thanks in advance to any who can answer this.

You have no need to read it again when you drop off the bus at most bus routes.
