About:Chinese Embassy in Spain

hello
I am a British citizen living in Alicante, Spain. Can I obtain a visa from Madrid with my British passport ( I have Spanish ID also but not resedencia ) and will they need to keep my passport until I collect the visa as I need it to fly to Alicante while my application is being processed.

You can try to apply for China visa from China embassy in Madrid with your British passport, I guess you will get a visa because you have Spanish ID. The embassy will keep your passport until you collect the visa.
