hello,i will be flying from hiroshima,japan to bangkok, thailand via shanghai pudong

Hello,I will be flying from Hiroshima,Japan to Bangkok, Thailand via Shanghai Pudong with Eastern China Airlines and come back the same way a week later. Both times, my waiting time is not more than  hours. Normally, Turkish people need a visa to enter China. I will only be transferring, so do i need a visa for that? Some Japanese sites say that I do, so I couldn't be sure.. And I only have my e-ticket at the moment..

If you just stay within the airport for less than 24 hours, then no visa will be needed.
