About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

i have tried reaching someone in your office regarding a visa. I need to know how long (how many days) it takes to get a business visa? I have all the paperwork filled out. I had questions, but no one answers your phone lines each day. do i have to bring my passport to you? and you make a copy? or what is my next step?

Processing Time
1. The regular processing time is 4 working days (e.g. submission on Monday, pick up on Thursday).

2. Express service: 2-3 working days processing, $20 will be charged per visa.

3. Same day rush service: additional fee of $30 for 1 working day processing (applications presented before 11:30am may be picked up between 1:45pm-2:00pm on the same day).

You have to bring your passport to the visa officer, the visa officer won't make a copy, the original passport should be left during the processing of visa application. You can make a copy of passport in advance if you need.

After you submit the visa application, you will get a Pink Receipt, you need to pick up your visa and passport on the date wrriten on Pink Receipt
