About:Guangzhou Transportation

Hi,

I will be travelling from Guangzhou to Ho Chi Minh City on China Southern Airlines. I plan on purchasing a economy ticket soon. However, I would like to know what is the weight limits allowance and allowed since I will be carrying from the USA to Guangzhou, 2x suitcases at 70 pounds each one and 1 hand carry on luggage at about 40 pounds. Maybe a total of 180 pounds total for all luggages together.

Since I know that I will exceed the weight limits, please tell me how much is the overweight fees will cost me? If the overweight costs are to much, then should I purchase a First Class ticket instead?

Also, I know China calls it KG for Kilograms, but in the USA, we call it pounds. Can u tell me how many KGs are in 1 pound or the other way around, how many pounds are in a KG?

Thank you so much for your help..

Limitation on Carry-on Luggage:
International flights: The size of each luggage should be within 20 x 40 x 55cm. Total weight of carry-on luggage should be within 7kg.

Free Check-in Luggage
International flight: Economy Class - 20kg, and 30kg for who hold the Student Passport. Business Class – 30kg. First Class – 40kg.

Be aware that some airlines may have their own size or weight restrictions.

The fee rate for for luggage overweight of China Southern Airlines is 1.5% of the Economy Class ticket on the day.

1 pound is about 0.45kg. You can according to it to value your luggage.
