Hi,I would like to go from Guangzhou (Baiyun) inter airport to Guangzhou East railway (the plan is to go to Hongkong from there), what is the fastest and cheapest mode of transport for 5 ppl? Also, should we book the train tickets in advance, or is it ok to just buy in the counter? Also, when we are back from Hongkong, is there any restriction in what we can bring into China? i.e. goods more tha certain amount of dollars?Thanks!Livia.

From Baiyun Airport, you could take the Guangzhou subway Line 3 to reach Guangzhou East Railway Station directly. The ticket fare is CNY12/adult.And yes, you'd better purchase the train tickets to Hong Kong in advance, especially around the festival and holiday.The personal goods and cash should be limited in CNY20,000 when you enter into mainland China from Hong Kong. Otherwise, the over part should pay tax.
