About:Chinese Consulate in New York

Hi,
6 months ago, I married a Chinese citizen. This February, we would like to visit her family in China, but I'm a little confused with all the types of visas.
Our visit would be for about 6 weeks.
Can you advise me on which one I should apply for, please?

P.s. We plan to fly into Hong Kong, and then take an "express bus" to her village. Will I then need a seperate visa for going into Hong Kong?

You can apply for Chinese Tourist Visa(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/tourist.htm) for family visit, please write clearly that your planned stay duration in China is 6 weeks on the visa application form. You don't need a seperate visa to Hong Kong(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/hongkong.htm) if you are USA citizen. USA passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for 90 days.
