About:First Time China

Planning an extensive journey to China for the fall of 2012. Starting in Beijing, Great Wall, Xian, Yangtse River, Shanghai, The Grand Canal, Guilin and the Li River. My question is how far is the distance from Shanghai to the Li River and where is the best place to stay to take advantage of the beauty of the Li River.

Li River is in Yangshuo, Guilin, the best way is to take a flight from Shanghai to Guilin and it takes about 2.5 hours by air.

If you want to enjoy the beauty of Li River, then you can stay at a hotel in Yangshuo.
