You can take long-distance bus from Shanghai South Bus Station to Jiashan first. It runs from 06:40 to 18:40 and takes about one hour. Then take bus from Jiashan Bus Station to Xitang. There are many buses from Jiashan to Xitang on a interval of 20 minutes.1
