About:Mount Miaofeng

Hi, i am visiting Beijing soon, will be staying at Novotel Peace near Wanfujing street. Besides taking taxi, what is the easiest way to get to Great Wall, Summer Palace, Heaven Temple, Tiananmen, Forbidden City?

I understand that each place is very big, which is the best gate/way to walk to tour each place.

I am also worry to catch taxi from the various places back to my hotel, will it be difficult? What do I need to take note? Thank you.

If you make a good travel plan, there is almost no need to take a taxi. Novotel Peace Hotel, Beijing is very close to the Dengshikou Station of Beijing Subway Line 5, which you could mainly rely on. The price is CNY2 regardless of the distance and transfers.

To Great Wall: please take the subway Line 5 and then transfer to Line 2 at Yonghegong Station. Finally get off at Jishuitan Station. Exit following the signs to Deshengmen, you could take the bus 919快 to the Badaling Great Wall, Beijing with a fare of 12RMB.

To Summer Palace: take Line 5 and then transfer to Line 2 at Chongwenmen Station. Finally get off at Qianmen Station and go out from Exit A, you could catch the bus 808 to the park directly.

Or, take Line 5 and then transfer to Line 10 at Huixinxijienankou. Get off at Haidianhuangzhuang, you will find many buses to the Summer Palace.

To Beijing Temple of Heaven: take Line 5 and get off at the Temple of Heaven.

To Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City: take Line 5 and then transfer to Line 1 at Dongdan. Get off at Tiananmen Dong, you could find them promptly.
