About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I am a US citizen. Currently I live and work in South Korea. I have an E2 visa and alien card for south korea which both expire Feb28, 2011. I would like to travel to China/Tibet/Hong Kong/Macau beginning March 2011 for the duration of one year. Would I be permitted to get a one year multiple re-entry visa from south korea WITHOUT having to go or send my passport home to the US. I have never been to China before. shi shi :)

Chinese embassy in South Korea requires your ARC should be valid for at least 6 months. I think, you have to send your visa application back to US. Or if you can renew or extend your ARC. You may check China Embassy in South Korea(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/korea2.htm) for more details, including posts from other travelers.

Thanks for the reply. Ok, so what if I went to China real quick from Vietnam (there is a place in Busan I've heard that CAN grant a visa for China w/o the remaining 6months). Would I then be able to get a year multi visa since I have a Chinese record?

You can have a try to submit your visa application to Chinsee consulate in Busan through an appointed tour agency. But one record to China can not be regarded as a strong evidence that you will be granted a multi visa valid for one year, unless you can provide proof that you need to visit China frequently this coming year.
