Somehow my question which I asked before disappeared. Because it is important for me I will repeat it.

I will fly from Nanchang via Gungzhou to Paris. Airline is China Southern (second leg operated by Air France). As my connection time at Gungzhou is 11 hours, I would like to visit the town, using the new metro.

Transfer procedures above state, that I have to reclaim my luggage. Can I drop this luggage at the transfer desk and continue to town or do I have to leave it somewhere at a Left Luggage Counter?
