About:Shanghai Maglev Train Ticket

Hello! I've been searching this website for information and have been pleased with how informative it is. I have a few quick questions.

I'll be traveling from Wuhan to Shanghai, probably via overnight train. The train gets in at Shanghai South Railway. As I am not familiar with Shanghai, could you tell me how I would get to the maglev station to get to Shanghai Pudong Airport from there? I am thinking my train will arrive at 7:15 a.m., and I would have to be to the airport with time to check in for an international flight that leaves at 10:10 a.m. What would be the fastest means of traveling there given those circumstances? I thought the maglev would work, but if Shanghai South is too far from the main station, I'm not so sure.

And please tell me if there's any other way of getting there faster or if I should consider just flying straight to Shanghai Pudong the night before and getting a hotel instead.

Thanks so much for the help; I really appreciate it.

Well, you should take the shuttle bus Line 7 to Pudong Airport. After arrive Shanghai South Railway Station, you could follow the direction to the railway station's south square, where the shuttle bus station is set. It will take you about 50 minutes to Pudong Airport by the shuttle bus. This should be more faster than transfer to Maglev.

However, plus other time such as collect baggage and wait for bus' departure, the rest time for checking in an international flight will be urgent.

So, I think you'd better fly to Shanghai one day in advance. Good luck!
