About:China Train

we are planning a trip from Beijing to Yandang starting the 15th of December until the 19th of September. We would like to go to Shanghai via night train and then take a train to Yandang the next morning. Is it possible to take the D321, arriving in Shanghai Hongqiao at 7:15 and then take the D377, departing 08:08 from the same station. Or is this too little time?

For the trip back:
The flight to Germany leaves 23:55 from Pudong, so I guess the D5590 arriving in Hongqiao 17:57 should be ok. Is it true that train tickets just can be bought something like 10 days in advance of the departure. As it is quite important to catch the flight I would like to be sure to be on that train, before we start the trip.

Thanks for your help and cheers,

There is really little time for you if you’d like to take the train D377. For the train transfer, it is better to leave around 1.5hrs. So, you are suggested to take the train D3203 departing at 10:50 in case the train from Beijing delayed. Yes, train tickets are usually on sale around 10 days before departure date. For the train tickets on Beijing-Shanghai route, you can arrange it in advance online. For the tickets from Yandang to Shanghai, you could buy it once you arrive at Yandang.
