Hi, Appreciate if anyone could help me with these questions:1. If I were to be reaching Beijing on a flight that arrives at 0615hr, is it to ambitious if I were to catch a 0840 train from Beijing to Taiyuan? I am planning to take the airport bus number 7 from the airport to Beijing West Railway Station.2. Do I really have to buy the tickets in advance? Can i buy them when I arrive at the station? Thanks in advance for your reply.

To assure getting the tickets, you would better buy them in advance. And the time is really pressing for you to catch the train leaving at 08:40, as it will take around 40min for the entry procedures; around 1hr to Beijing West Station provided the traffic jam is not serious. Thus, you would better choose to take the train D2009 departing at 12:12.
