After arrival in Shanghai took the Fast train to the CBD where we got a Taxi to the New Harbour Serviced Apartments. We were charged 200RMB - Thought it a bit excessive but didn't bubble. Incidently, I noticed the meter amount was obscured by the paper tape that comes out of the meter as a receipt. You can imagine how we felt when we discovered that on return from the Hotel to the station the meter only got to 49RMB. That was the only Taxi overcharge incident during the 6 days however the TutTut experience was a little different, they couldn't help themselves, one rip off after another. Not that it amounted to a lot of money but it all adds up, specially when you add it to the extra you pay if you paid the amounts you were initially quoted for items purchased. One example was the marked price on a mini tripod, 153RMB, which I got for 20RMB, and they would have made a profit on that.
