how do you recommend travelling from hong kong to maoming?

How do you recommend travelling from Hong Kong to Maoming? Is it possible to take a ferry to Macau and then travel from there? Or is it quicker/easier to go via Guangzhou?What about driving all the way (in a dual plate car)? How long would that take?

The best way is take East Rail Line Train to Lo Wu Boarder, pass the customs and then take Subway Line 1 to Zhuzilin Station, finally walk to Futian Bus Station and take long distance bus to reach, there are buses daily at 08:20, 09:20, 10:20, 17:10, 21:40, 11:00 and 16:30.
