About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

I am taking a flight from South Korea, Incheon International Airport to Guangzhou , and i have a 10 hour lay over there... waiting for a flight to Vietnam. I am wondering, am I able to go outside to look around Guangzhou for the day? I arrive in the morning and don't leave again until later that eveing... A friend of mine told me she did a layover/transfer in China and was able to go out for the day... I have also heard that unless you have a Chinese visa you can not go outside the airport... I am wondering what is the right thing... hope someone replies!!

Yes, Mr. Patrick. That is true. It is possible to do that in Shanghai for people from a few countries and Canada is one of them. Impossible to do that in Guangzhou, I mean you should have a visa to go out of the airport, even in Beijing.
