We are a party 4 flying into Chengdu airport at 10am on 2 Nov 10. The plan is to do a quick stopover at Leshan before making our way to Emeishan for the night. I know there are express buses from Chengdu Xin Nan Men bus station to Leshan, but short of making our way to Chengdu city (approx 30 mins) to take this express bus (approx 2.5hr to Leshan/Emeishan), is there an alternative means from Chengdu airport? Would it be possible to take a taxi or hire/rent a car from the airport to take us to Leshan and subsequently wait for us, say for 2hrs, before sending us to Emeishan? I read that there used to be direct shuttle buses from Chengdu Airport to Emeishan, are these still in operation? Appreciate advice on costs regarding the various means for us to get to Emeishan (via Leshan).

As I know there are direct buses to Leshan from Chengdu Airport directly. Get out the airport terminal and turn right to the bus station. The bus lesves at 1pm, 3pm. The time is not very accurate, adjust to the present timetable. If your time is not suitable, you have to take taxi. You can tell the driver to wait for two hours and then pick you up to Emeishan again. The price and the schedule should be discussed well in advance. It seems the direct bus back to the airport from Emeishan is still available, but I am not sure about the time. You can confirm this information by asking the local people.

Will it be easy to get any taxi driver to agree to this fare of RMB300 to send me to Leshan-Emeishan Will the taxi drivers usually agree to this route and fare or is it more like searching for one in ten drivers that will do this route at this price? I am mindful of the distance and that the drivers may not be willing to drive so far (to Leshan-Emeishan) outside of Chengdu.

May I clarify if it is easy to get a taxi to go to Leshan from Chengdu airport at this approx fare of RMB300 or it is a case where only 1 in 10 airport taxi will agree to this destination and fare. I am mindful of the longer distance these taxis have to travel out of Chengdu and am unsure if most will be willing to take me there at RMB300.

I don't think it's easy to find a driver at the price. From the airport to the Leshan scenic area, the taxi fee is about rmb250. From Leshan to Ermeishan, it is about rmb120 to hire a local mini-bus. I think you can take different taxis to travel between the destinations. First from the airport to Leshan, then a mini-bus to Emeishan. If you are uable to hire a mini-bus at Leshan, then just take one of the buses from the travel agency around the Exit Exit of Leshan scenic area, they can take you to Emeishan Scenic area too; Or go to Xiaoba Bus station to take public bus to Emeishan.

Hi, you can take a bus from Chengdu Xinnanmen bus station to Leshan. The bus depart from 0700-21-30 every 20 minutes.
