About:China Visa

Hi. I'm a Philippine resident and hold both Philippines and HK SAR passport as well as a Home Return Permit.

May I ask if I am allowed to enter China directly from Philippines using only my Home Return Permit? I read somewhere that HRP holders are only allowed entry to China via Hong kong or Macao. How true is this?

Additionally, if I want to visit Macao, which document should I use in entering their border if I'll be coming via Hong Kong?

Would appreciate your replies. Thanks.

Thanks for your response Ms.Helper.

The personnel from CTS verbally told me that I can use the HRP to enter Mainland China anywhere in the world, but I've read a report that says there are an increasing number of HRP holders, especially from Canada that are not allowed entry when they flew in directly from Canada. This gave me great concern.

When you mentioned using passport to enter Macao, which passport were you referring to? Can I use either one?

You can use your Philippine passport to enter Macao, and you can stay there for not more than 30 days without visa.
