Question

I live in Beijing right now and frequently travel alone with no Mandarin language skills.  How long will the travel time be by the long distance buses?  I want to hike the wall and return to Beijing the same day.  Also, how easy will it be for me to get around and ask for help traveling home if I am lost or miss the bus?Thanks guys.  I love this website.

If you travel alone, I think there will be problem for you to ask for help. Gubeikou is 120km from the downtown Beijing. You can take bus 980 from Dongzhimen to Miyun first then change mini bus to there. The last bus back from Miyun to Beijing is at 19:00. Plan your time!
