About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Hello,
I am studying in Japan at the moment but I want to go on a trip to china. I need to get a visa but can I get one from a chinese embassy in Japan or would I have to send my passport to the US?

you can apply from Chinese embassy in Japan, provide you have valid student visa or residence permit in Japan.
