About:Beijing Souvenir Food

We were recently in Beijing and Shanghai. We bought some boxes there of what we thought were candy. When we arrived back home, we discovered that they are wrapped pieces of something crumbly, dry, and floury. How are they meant to be eaten? They fall apart as soon as they are picked up.

Hi, aren't there any Chinese words or Pinyin on the box? Or do you remember in where you got them?I think it must be some CHinese Dim Sum, must be edible.
