About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

I am a student in Malaysia! I have a student visa to Malaysia for a year! And I"d like to fly to Shanghai! Is it possible if I'll get a visa in Malaysia or do I need to go back to my country to Kazakhstan?
And what I need for a visa! Do I need a special budget for this?

Beside the original passport, one completed Visa Application Form and a recently-taken passport photo, you should provide the original and a copy of your permanent residence or work permit in Malaysia which should be valid for at least half a year if you apply there.
