About:Chinese Embassies in Asia

I am a New Zealand passport holder, currently on a tourist visa, travelling in South Korea. Recently South Korea changed the rules for obtaining visas to China. Now anyone on a tourist visa here can not apply for a visa for China. So I plan to travel to Hong Kong to get my tourist visa for China, alas it says on their website if one does not reside in Hong Kong then one must obtain their China visa from their country of residence..This is simply not possible for me.Is this rule so rigid?? Or are there exceptions??
If not what suggestions do you have for a new zealand passport holder on a tourist visa in Korea wanting to obtain a tourist visa for China??
Many Thanks

visa regulations becomes strict this days really. I suggest that you can send back your passport and other required documents to NZ. let your family help you with it from Chinese embassy there, then, send you the visa to China.

Maybe the policy is now strict. I think you can apply for a tourist visa in Hongkong directly.
Another better option for you is to apply for a F visa in South Korea directly. As to this, we can send you a business invitation letter, you can use it to apply for a F visa in China embassy there, any questions, we can communicate.
