Do you think Peking trip is suitable for 6 years old and 2 years old kids? You think they enjoy the trip? What is the weather like during December?

Not very suitable for kids, too much walking involved in touring Beijing, but there are some amusement park, such as Shijingshan Park, Beijing Zoo, Happy Valley, etc.

I don't think it is a good to take children to Beijing in cold Dec. Of course, it will be an enjoyable trip if they like snow. On the other hand, Beijing is famous for its large quantity of historical sites, which may be boring for very little kid.
