About:Harbin Ice Festival

When is best time to go to see the people making the Ice Sculptures in Harbin Festival 2011. I dont want to go when the sculptures are finished such as in January, 2011. . I want to see the people making the sculptures and talk to them. Any best time in November maybe? And where is best place in Harbin to get hotel, medium price.

November is too early, I think Mid-December is the best time. As to hotels, Harbin Romantic Hotel is a nice choice for it is close to Zhaoping Park, which is also a main venue for the Ice and Snow Festival. Harbin Join Us Plaza Hotel is very nice for it is just nearby the railway station with easy transportation.

But is mid December too late because most ice sculptures will be finished and I cant find the people making them.

There are still people making it, for the festival will be officially start on January,5th. But if you want to see more of the making work, maybe you can arrive a little earlier if you have time.
