Hi,

I'm arriving in Shanghai on 9th Oct and will proceed to Hangzhou by D train.

1) It is possible to get train tickets at Shanghai South Railway station considering the holidays are just over and many people are heading home?

2) If I need to buy tickets in advance, then how should I proceed?

3) Can I buy train tickets at the airport upon my arrival?

You couldn't purchase a ticket at the airport but I think it is easily to get one at the railway station on the spot. The holiday has finished today.
