The high-speed trains to Hengyang start from Guangzhou South Station. It takes about 1hr and 50mins, with ticket price around CNY255 for one hard seat on train G1082. It seems that train stations in Hong Kong do not sell tickets departing from cities in mainland. You would better book the tickets online or ask some local travel agencies for help.
