About:China Embassy in Thailand

Hello,

I am a Belgian national (Europe), working and living in Thailand. I have a Thai
work permit, B-visa.

I would like to go to China for holiday (leaving from Bangkok to Shanghai).
So I must go to China embassy in Bangkok to apply for a visa.

What are the exact documents required at Embassy? Do I still need an invitation letter?

Thanks,
Steven

1. The original passport with a validity more than six months and enough blank visa pages;
2. One copy of completed visa application form in Chinese or English, attached with one of the applicant's recent colorful front pictures of upper body (30mm X 40mm);
3. The certification of your identity (Your thai work permit), round-trip (vehicle, ship) ticket or travel check or bank saving statement.
In general cases, you are not required an invitation letter.

Hi Steven
It looks like we are asking the same question, but receiving different answers so I would be interested to know how you get on. We are not visiting China until 31-12-11.
Many thanks
Tim
