About:Suzhou Attractions

I arranged a tour through my hotel of the tongli water village; at a cost of 900 rmb, which I know is a bit expensive but seemed fair enough. my guide asked me for an additional 500 rmb to buy tickets for the tongli village. I thought this was much higher than what the actual admission, but being averse to a confrontation --- did I get ripped off?
